Banana Republic Dress Shirt
Description: Long Sleeve Button Up Dress Shirt
Origin: India
Content: 100% Cotton
Point of Purchase: Banana Republic
Overview: I've had this shirt for many years and it's just about in the same condition of when I first purchased it. So the construction and quality is excellent. Being that it was made in India, I know the labor is cheap and their cotton is of really good quality. I paid I believe around $60 for this shirt, and knowing the labor pay in India, I don't think the labor was paid fairly in comparison to the quality of the shirt. Dyes was used to dye the different yarns to create the stripes in the shirt so it's not as sustainable to a shirt with no stripes. But a good thing is since the cotton was more likely grown in India, there is no major carbon footprint of having the fabric shipped there in creating the shirt, as opposed to having fabric shipped from another country to the US to produce tees.
