A/X Boxerbriefs
Description: Boxerbriefs
Origin: Thailand
Content: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex
Point of Purchase: Macy's
Overview: Underwear is like socks; it always needs to be replaced because of the quality. But these underwears are 3 years old and are in great condition. The construction is good and with it being made in Thailand, the labor costs are cheap. The design of the waistband is pretty much embroidered, a skill that Thailand is excellent for, which is a good thing because no extra dyes were used to create a prints. The fact that it's made of cotton; I'm going to assume that the cotton was imported from India which isn't too far so the carbon footprint isn't that much. But when shipping the final product to the US, it is. There was dye used to color the cotton so it isn't that sustainable. What makes it sustainable is the construction so a person doesn't have to keep going out shopping for new underwear because usually, old underwear is thrown away which adds to more trash that is polluting the Earth.
